AssetTXT provides GPS location monitoring and automated SMS alerts for fleet vehicles, school buses, golf carts, and other tracked assets, serving fleet operators, school districts, transit agencies, golf course operators, and commercial customers.

AssetTXT is a location-based service. Tracking devices installed on enrolled assets transmit real-time and historical GPS location data to our platform. This location data is the core of the service and is used solely to provide tracking, geofence and sensor alerting, and reporting to the fleet operator or organization that owns or controls the asset.
Location data is tied to the specific asset and to the enrolled organization's account. We do not sell location data, and we do not share it with third parties for marketing or any purpose unrelated to providing the AssetTXT service. Location data is retained according to the Data Retention section below.
Phone numbers enrolled for SMS alerts are not used to track the location of any individual person. Alerts relate to the movement and status of the enrolled asset, not the recipient.
The AssetTXT SMS alert program sends automated text messages to enrolled contacts when a tracked asset crosses a geofence boundary or triggers a sensor event. Consent to receive these messages is collected in two ways:

Asset telemetry, location data, and alert event logs are retained for a period of 12 months by default and may be retained longer for warranty, insurance, or regulatory purposes at the request of the fleet operator.
